As their instructor, you will continually review each student’s progress as part of grading and evaluating their worksheets. This helps you fine-tune the student’s individual lesson plan, if necessary. The Kumon Program also requires a special commitment on your part, as you should establish an ongoing dialogue with parents to help them stay on top of their child’s progress, goals and motivation.
Before a child enrolls in your Kumon Center, you’ll want to meet one-on-one with the child’s parent(s) to discuss their objectives and answer their questions. This way you can ensure that the Kumon Method is the best fit for their child.
At the same time as the orientation, each child takes a placement test at no cost to the parent. These results help you determine the perfect starting point for each student.
