– Ravinder Bhatt has always had a passion for education. 25 years ago, as a new college graduate, he dove into his first job: teaching high-school math, chemistry, and physics. Since then, his career has taken some twists and turns that have led him across the globe and astray from teaching. However, his hope to return to the education sector remained. Finally, things have come full circle for Bhatt, who is now the proud owner of“I have always aspired to return to my roots to teach children. Kumon has now given me the opportunity to get back into educating our youth,” said Ravinder Bhatt, owner and Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Newark – Ardenwood. “I’m looking forward to giving back to my community by helping children become self-sufficient so that they can benefit long-term from the Kumon Method.”
After teaching for five years, Ravinder’s next roles as a programmer and project manager required much travel and time away. Regardless, when he was home, his passion for education motivated him to make time to tutor his son’s friends free of charge. Bhatt’s son spent several years in Kumon before recently completing both the Math Program and Reading Program. As he witnessed his son’s academic ability and self-learning skills soar, Ravinder’s eyes were opened to the Kumon Method.
“As a Kumon parent for the last four years, I know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the program,” said Bhatt. “When customers walk into my center, I want them to be impressed like I was in my own experience, which in turn will proudly represent Kumon’s high standards.”
