Interview
After the seminar, we’ll schedule more extensive, in-person interviews with our Franchise Recruiter, Branch Manager and/or one of our Kumon General Managers. You will also complete a short Math, Reading and Written proficiency assessment.
Financial and Background Check
To make sure you can meet the financial obligations required for the initial investment and startup costs of your Kumon Franchise, we’ll conduct a financial assessment. The completion of a background check and vulnerable sector search will also be required prior to attending the Kumon Training Program.
Initial Training
Once you qualify as a potential Kumon Franchise owner, you’ll participate in our Kumon Instructor Development Program. There will be two four-day sessions of training, held over a two-month period. You’ll participate in a series of centre visits for more hands-on training. Our training covers Kumon Curriculum, lesson plans and business & centre management strategies for successful centre operations. You’ll also begin exploring possible retail locations and leases for your centre space.
Franchise Agreement
Once you have completed the entire Kumon Training program and your selected centre location has been approved, we will review an offer for your Franchise Agreement.
